Datul paştilor. În satele de la poalele Munţilor XXX există datina ca, în duminicile şi sărbătorile din postul Paştelui, preotul, după încheierea serviciului religios să anunţe pe cei care doresc dintre săteni să dea paştile. Persoana care dădea paştile trebuia să cumpere două sau trei ciubere şi donicuţe noi, frumos sculptate şi încrestate. Aceste ciubere se umplu în Miercurea Mare cu vin curat şi apoi, acoperindu-se bine, se duc în dimineaţa Joii Mari la biserică, unde sunt aşezate în altar împreună cu 7 sau 14 pâinişoare de grâu, frământate şi coapte de prescurăriţa parohiei.

Common bread presented at the Offertory of the Mass to be blessed by the priest and distributed to those present as a token of union and love. It was frequently carried home; some, however, consumed it at church. The French called it pain bénit, and the custom still exists in some parts of the Western church.
