Plecând de la forma numelui cel mai des întâlnită sau stabilită convenţional de noi sau BRV-ul, în vedetă am introdus, pe lângă nume, rolul pe care l-a avut fiecare dintre persoanele numite în editarea cărţilor.

Vedeta reprezintă datele de indentificare cu privire la o carte, date aflate fie pe o fișă de carton, sau mai nou, de când cu cataloagele electronice, se referă la datele de identificare cu care au fost înregistrate într-o bază de date, înregistrări numite Entries (da, am urmat un curs de Oracle Database).
S-ar fi tradus cu "we included in the "Heading" (pentru fișele de carton) și "Authorized/Controlled access point" (pentru înregistrările dintr-o bază de date electronică)
+ că în toate referințele pe care le-ai dat nu se vorbește de "enter/type/write in bold letters"; astea-s sofisme, dar se pare pentru unii sunt comestibile

Sistemul cu fișe de carton (catalog card) a dispărut aproape complet. Cel pe calculator (computer) are alte denumiri și catalogări (headings, select by author, title, subject, etc). Dacă dorim să păstrăm caracterul contextului, putem folosi chiar "vedette" am găsit la dicționare vechi, voi posta ceva referințe. Dacă dorim să fim siguri că reflectă ce vrem să spunem, cu toate că "vedette" nu mai există pe carduri, putem doar zice: "we entered in bold, at the top of the catalog card...." Spun "bold", pentru că definiția catalogului pe fișe de astea vechi spune de introducerea "evidențiat" sau în "vedetă". Sper să vă ajute referințele să alegeți un răspuns, că noi mai mult v-am zăpăcit. Scuze.
E posibil să fie altceva. De la scrierea cu litere groase s-a început... Eu n-am studiat franceza, așa că n-au rost textele în franceză la perechea engleză-română. Any explanations would be great in English or Romanian.

DDG, nu te supăra, dar eşti cam dus cu pluta. Şi, în plus, mai ai foarte mult de învăţat... Uiţi că cărţile au atât (nume de )autor cât şi TITLU, care, foarte probabil, e titre în franceză, şi title în engleză, aşa că eu nu aş pune semnul egal între vedetă şi titre fără dovezi serioase. Adina, eu am intervenit doar pentru că "forma numelui" (context) pare să indice că e vorba de catalogare. Spor la treabă!
Nu cred că rostul acestui site este de a judeca competenţele profesionale ale userilor, ci mai degrabă întrajutorare în traducere. Eu vă mulţumesc oricum pentru faptul că aţi trecut pe aici şi vă rog/invit să postaţi un răspuns....

Les vedettes titres de forme Ce sont des titres fabriqués, la vedette commence et se termine par des crochets [ ].On regroupe les publications collectives d'un même type sous des vedettes qui reflètent leur forme, l'objectif étant de retrouver des documents difficiles à retrouver pour lesquels on ne connaît pas le titre exact. Răspunsurile de până acum nu sunt edificatoare ci induc în eroare, pentru că sunt greșite. A introduce în vedetă nu înseamnă a scrie cu litere îngroșate ci se referă la titlul uniformizat/standardizat folosit pentru înregistrarea unei cărți/publicații într-o bază de date.

DEX: vedetă - cuvânt sau grup de cuvinte notat pe primul rând al datelor privitoare la o carte, servind la determinarea locului acesteia în catalogul de bibliotecă.
În contextul de faţă parcă se introduce prea multă informaţie în "vedetă" (rolul pe care l-a avut fiecare...) - asta mă face să mă gândesc că poate termenul este folosit aici cu un sens ceva mai larg.
