agree  Mihaela Petrican: în contextul de faţă, şi eu cred că autorul se gândea la "fibre" nervoase hipertrofiate. Totuşi, filetele nervoase sunt ramificaţii ale extremităţii nervilor şi poate că în alte contexte, "nerve endings" este o soluţie mai potrivită.
