O texto versa sobre questões existenciais e enfoca a necessidade de o homem superar o materialismo para fundar uma nova antropologia. O termo em questão aparece no penúltimo parágrafo e mostra-se semanticamente um pouco deslocado em relação ao conjunto.

"(...)Va trebui să creem lumea românească în conformitate cu mersul evoluţiei, mai sus arătat. Va trebui să facem o astfel de mişcare încât să plesnească centura care ne ţine în acest provizorat existenţial.

De astădată, se pune, pentru ultima oră, problema, dacă rezistă, sau nu celula. Daca nu rezistă, pierim fără urmă."

Consultei o DEX na sua versão eletrônica e não encontrei um sentido mais metafórico para 'celulă'. Gostaria, por gentileza, de saber o parecer dos colegas.
