I find the offered translation doubtful.

"La CSR, que se desarrolla en el local de la Asociación Gitana de Sant Roc, emplea por modelo (The Patron) la figura de un bondadoso personaje de leyenda llamado Shere Rom ("El que todo lo sabe") quien vigila a los niños por un laberinto de juegos y actividades.

Según leyendas gitanas tradicionales, existió un personaje llamado Shere Rom, procedente de un país de centroeuropa, que ayudó a sus compatriotas a escapar del exterminio nazi durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial."

Parece que es cierto, lo de la existencia de dicho personaje. "La Casa de Shere Rom" es un proyecto educativo,muy interesante por cierto, que se investiga la hipótesis de un promedio un menor rendimiento escolar en la comunidad gitana, en contraposición a sus compañeros de otras minorías.
