Russian term or phrase: подъемное местонахождение
Full paragraph as follows (queried term is in the opening sentence):

Is it elevated locations? I can't make sense of it using the dictionary definition of подъемное and I'm guessing it's a specific geographical collocation.

Explanation:
I'm guessing too...

Буквально - место, откуда поднимают на поверхность археологические находки.

Подъем - обычный в арехеологии термин. Для наземных раскопок подходит excavation, для морской археологии - recovery. Если известно состояние участка, возможно, recovery подойдет и для наземных.

Sure, there are more common Russian terms used in archaeology for excavation site, but the hits for you term are so rare... Maybe this is a very narrow professional jargon?

Makes sense. The author uses several terms for excavation and for site, doubtless to avoid much repetition. I'll go with this and move on to the next problem.
