Здравствуйте, помогите, пожалуйста, эффектно перевести название любимого фильма - "В бой идут одни старики". Мой вариант перевода "Old-timers only go into battle" меня не впечатляет.
Спасибо.

Only veteran soldiers are going to battle

Explanation:
"Veteran soldier" is a synonym of "experienced soldier" which is the meaning of "старики".

neutral  Raffaele Esposito: I gave this other option too, only that I wrote "veterans" that is the same for "veteran soldiers"... :)

-> For the Russians the word "veteran" alone has a little different meaning.

agree  The Misha: I'd say this comes as the most natural solution so far, but what are you going to do about that "old men" translation? It's their loss, not yours.
1 hr
-> Thank you. Looks like someone at some point in time had come up with the "old men" thing which, in my opinion, sounds too awkward for a movie title and could be confusing as an "old man" doesn't precisely equate to a seasoned fighter
