academic speaking

Explanation:
If the word is "речь", surely it doesn't mean "writing"?

neutral  Turdimurod Rakhmanov: academic-covers only the things relate to schools, colleges, and universities. and стиль речи-means "parlance" or "language". Научный here means Scientific language. However, I think in Enlgish, writing could be equivalent, if I am not mistaken.

agree  The Misha: It is probably still writing rather than speaking. Those learned fellas mostly write research papers and such, don't they?

-> Тhank you. No doubt you'r right that it could cover writing too, but the learned fellas also have to speak and read papers at conferences.

agree  Kimberly : I agree that this type of course encompasses more than just writing: https://www.vanderbilt.edu/elc/programs/english-academics-pr...

Maybe this one is better:
Russian (or just language) for the academic/scientific purposes

Notes to answerer
Asker: Turdimurod, thank you very much! Surely I wasn't looking for a literary meaning here which is why I disagree with Jack. Again, we are talking Preparatory Foundation Program for international students so, I guess, they are trained to be able to write in Russian for the academic/scientific purposes (not necessarily to be involved in a research work, though).

disagree  The Misha: It matters little what the original says, literally. What does matter is how such things are phrased in the target language. It's called usage, and it is generally what distinguishes natural, native-like translations from those that are not.

-> Thank your for your opinion. How should such things be phrased? Scientific writing is the best match here. It is the name of the discipline in "зачетка"

Reference information:
I think here academic writing is out of place,
Because academic writing style covers only the language for academic purposes, in here it is about the language of science.
