I'm translating a German novel in which one of the characters occasionally has snatches of interior monologue in (transliterated) Russian. I don't actually need translations - although that might be useful and interesting - rather, I'm looking for accurate "English" Roman alphabet transliteration for various German-script Russian phrases.

German "w" = English "v", et cetera... but of course there's more to it than that.
