Должен был работать до обеда, но получилась накладка по моей вине. По записи до трех часов должны были быть две тройки респондентов. Опросив первую, я принял одного человека из второй тройки, и запустил к XXX респондента из следующей тройки, которая была записана уже на четыре часа. Приняв таким образом пять человек, я подумал, что мы опросили уже шестерых человек. Но потом оказалось, что вторая и третья тройки закрыты только по одному человеку от каждой. При этом YYY привел еще одного человека для второй тройки и начал упрашивать его принять, но я подумал, что все респонденты на этот час уже сделаны и вспомнив вчерашний скандал, я отказался его принимать, отправив его на послеобеденное врем

I have translated Закрыты as closed, another word may be finalised. Correct me if I am wrong but I would think that they were dealing with respondents in groups and might have had certain papers to fill in for each group (rather than for each individual) or to do something similar to indicate that a group is done with, or closed as they put it.
