Capital Gains Tax Explanation: Your English versions of all these terms are correct, at least from my American English standpoint. As to your "ES directive:" Council of Europe is called "Sovet Evropy" in Russian. So I would expect the abbreviation to be "SE." The EC (European Commission) is "Evropeiskaya Kommissiya" in Russian, so I would expect the abbreviation to be "EK." European Union is "Evropejskij Soyuz" in Russian, and is abbreviated "ES." Hence, I would guess that you have a European Union directive, provided, of course, that there is such a thing. If I knew the title of the directive in Russian, I would search for it using aport.ru -- then enter my best guess at the translation in the EU website's search engine-- this usually works. If you don't have the title, enter "direktiv ES" IN RUSSIAN using one of the Russian search engines, plus a few keywords indicating what the directive's about. This is time consuming, I know, but if you bookmark as you go, you'll save time next time. Best regards, Ben Franchi Russian to English legal translator [email protected] |

Capital Gains Tax Explanation: IMPORTANT Please change the English equivalent for "Normativnye polozhenia kompaniy (Tablitsy A-F)". It should read as follows: The Companies (Tables A-F) Regulations 1985 (SI 1985/805) I hope you have not turned in the target text yet. Good luck!
