English translation:"Tea fungus"
Explanation:
In Latin, it's Medusomyces Gisevii. It also has scores of other names - the Russians also refer to it as Japanese fungus, tea kvass; in America it can be purchased under the name Kombucha.

A late answer; hope it was of some help!
