Russian to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical (general)
Russian term or phrase:СОД
Из выписки из истории болезни, выданной областной детской клинической больницей (ОДКБ) города Курска:
Г-н М. находился в СОД ОДКБ 17.08.11 с диагнозом: Врожденная аномалия мочевых путей.
Hi everyone, thanks for your input thus far. I had to turn in the translation, so at the time I went with "one-day inpatient department" because "daycare" sounded to me, as Lucy points out, like something associated with child care/preschool. However, as I read your comments, I think you are also correct that "day" in English implies just daytime, with no overnight stay. So what do you all think of "short-stay inpatient department" or just "short-stay department" or "short-stay unit"?
