Russian to English translations [PRO] / Glossaries
Russian term or phrase:A very simple question
I'd like you to take a look at the Russian-English question I posted yesterday: 'pered 3 litsami'
Someone has entered this term in the glossary. I find this annoying and frustrating, as I think it doesn't take that much common sense to work out what constitutes a useful addition to the glossary and what does not. Aside from the fact that:
a) the source and target terms do not match syntactically
b) there are spelling mistakes
this phrase has no obvious generic value to merit inclusion in the glossary.
I've worked as a professional lexicographer so have a certain idea about glossaries and dictionaries, but it's hardly rocket science and where glossary compilation is concerneed, I think, as professional linguists everyone here should know when to stick and when to twist!
