Russian to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering
Russian term or phrase:железнодорожный путь
an engineering subject relating to railways - does anyone know if this has a meaning other than "railroad", and why, since it is the title of a course of study and therefore general in nature, it is not in the plural?
Explanation: I am not sure of this, but I think that it can be used as in English, either for one specific track, or in the plural for tracks, or, in the singular again, as track (the whole track system, for which, in a UK context, the organization "Railtrack" was responsible until recently).
