English translation:I can deny myself your mouth
Explanation:
I can deny myself your mouth,
I can refrain from your hands,
I can escape into dolorous far-aways,
I can turn into a despised,
I can wilt my mouth with thirst,
I can grieve forsaken,
I can seclude my life in deserts,
I can un-live my life,
I can exterminate myself,
I cannot do anything but love you.

This is a piece from a well-known poem "Marina" written by a 19th century Slovak poet Andrej Sladkovic.

Thank you for this translation!!! The poem was given to me in Slovak to include in a wedding speech and I didn't know what it meant. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
Kind regards, Tanya Bunker
