The illustrations to a medical article have the following captions:

Obr. 1. Histologický obraz pečene - **prehľadný snímok**.

Obr. 2. Histologický obraz pečene - obraz intrahepatocytárnej cholestázy.

I'm not sure whether there's a standard way of putting this in English.

I think that prehľadný in this case means "summarizing", "general", "overall"...

it also depends whether you want to stress the meaning...or the fact it's a photography (i suppose) [view vs. image]

Thank you. I'm going with the idea of 'general' - like 'prehľadná mapa', 'small-scale map', i.e. a map that shows less detail, though it has to be said that this photo shows only a very small part of the liver (a representative sample to show the state of the liver as a whole).
