"Recurring auditing" sound awkward and doesn't appear to be common, but "recurring audits" looks more promising...

You can have one-offs, but periodic still seems tautological, I'm going by the definition, "dando seguimiento" . Now that you provide more context, I'm wondering why the "recurrente" is NOT capped??????

agree Howard Bryant : I think follow-up audit is correct. It is where the auditor would check that any issues raised on the previous audit have been addressed.
