Instrument Operations Team

Explanation:
Again, I tend to believe they use the English acronym, and explain it in Spanish, in terms of "what they do". In this case the crew flying in the aircraft.

So it is the team the "handles" and/or inspects the many instruments in the cockpit... (or other instruments, that I am not aware of)

I am far from being knowledgeable in this field, but while I am guessing this (and the other answers), I tend to be rather certain they are using the "English" terminology as their slang.

The phenomena happens even in colloquial Spanish, and in many specialized fields, where the Spanish speakers take the English acronym, not even knowing what it stands for exactly, but knowing the meaning of it...

At any rate, here are my two euros... ;-)

In Spanish it could be (and this is a total guess!) "Inspecciones de Operación de la Tripulación", which gives me 0 results in googling it. So, I'd go with my English theory.
