Spanish term or phrase: cubilete
The last one (I promise) from the silver workshop. This thumbnail shows hollow cylinders with holes, something akin to sieves. I looked it up in the DRAE and none of the definitions fit the context.

The Larousse Dictionary gives the following possibilities:

"(hielo) ice cube; (vaso de metal) goblet; (de prestidigitador) conjurer's goblet; (para guardar los dados) dicebox; (para echar los dados) cup; (AMER) (sombrero de copa) tophat; (intriga) plot, scheme; (bandeja para los cubiletes de hielo) ice tray"

Of all these, the only when that would be justified to have several holes would be an ice tray, possibly one hole for each icecube.

Asker: Sorry, Mike (I'm don't mean to be so negative!), but again, these are tools in a foundry for silversmithing. It is an industrial looking cylinder that is upright, hollow and filled with holes, so that it can't contain anything (unless it was large chunks of something). Thanks for answering all the same...
