there is very likelihood that there will be problems with their subsquent application
a priori is LATIN and means "relating to or involving deductive reasoning from a general principle to the expected facts or effects (Collins English dictionary)
or known to be true independtly of or in advance of experience of the subject matter (same source)
= every/high probability/likelihood

The term a priori is used in English, but I think it would sound a little too formal here possibly.
I would use the term 'from the outset' here instead.
