Café au lait is also used in English... depending on your context and target audience. If you have to use English, you can write "coffee with milk" or use the Spanish term with an explanation in parentheses. See below.

Café con leche is a coffee-based beverage, which translated from Spanish, literally means "coffee with milk". Similar to the French café au lait and the Italian caffè e latte, café con leche is a Spanish coffee beverage consisting of strong or bold coffee (sometimes espresso) mixed with scalded milk in anywhere from a 1:1 to 2:1 ratio. It is also served with sugar mixed according to taste. The beverage is extremely common in Spain and in many Latin American countries and communities around the world. In the Cuban bastions of Tampa, Florida and Miami, Florida, for example, café con leche is a local staple.[1]

Definition: Café con Leche is a large cup containing a small amount of very strong espresso coffee with a lot of very hot, frothy milk. Coffee is served all over Spain, as it is in most of Europe in cafes, bars and restaurants of all calibers. Café con Leche is normally served at breakfast, while small cups of black espreso are served after a meal.
