\"Grado superior\" and \"Diploma de fin de grado formativo\"

I have seen this often. If the text is from Latin america then "grado superior" is indeed higher education degree, more commonly known as Highschool diploma.
"Diploma de fin de grado formativo" is a certificate/diploma for a non-scholarized formation. It was a form of thechnical training that doesn't continue into university, because it lacks the theorethical knowledge a bachelor's degree requires.
Much like the technical BACs in France.

"Grado superior" could also translate as "tertiary qualification".
"Diploma de fin de grado formativo" could translate as "school leaver's certificate"
But I agree with Andrea, we would need to know more about the education system in the source country and also which audience you are translating for to get an English equivalent that would make most sense to readers.

I think we need to know the country of origin as educational qualifications may vary from one country to another. To me "grado superior" as "higher education degree" sounds good but I'm not so sure about "diploma de fin de grado formativo" because if I'm not mistaken, it can mean different things in different countries.
