bumps Explanation: I'm only familiar with "hone" meaning to sharpen, whereas polishing is about smoothing. "Polishing work involves smoothing a surface, removing marks, scratches, welding marks, material joint lines, shrinkage cavities, bumps, gases, scrapes or any other type of imperfections." -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2018-10-30 19:34:40 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- PS: I think "gases" may be a typo for some other kind of ding or imperfection. Splay is sometimes also called “silver streaks” because of the appearance of silvery scratches across the surface of the injection molded part. Splay is primarily a cosmetic defect although it can affect the strength of the finished part.2 dic. 2012 Splay - Troubleshooting Injection Molding Dart Defects - Paulson ... https://www.paulsontraining.com/from-the-plastics-point-of-v...
