Spanish term or phrase: IIC no-UCITS
"...las IICs no UCITS tienen la consideración de productos complejos.
Asimismo, las participaciones y acciones de IICs estructuradas (incluidas las UCITS) se consideran un producto complejo."

My problem is that I wanted to translate IIC as UCITS, but this has put a bit of a spanner in the works. So I guess here I might translate "IIC" literally as "Collective Investment Institutions".

English translation:non-UCITS IICs
Explanation:
I don't see why you'd want to translate IIC as UCITS - they're two different things.

IIC as you say, is CII or collective investment institution. UCITS is undertaking for collective investment in transferable securities.

Notes to answerer
Asker: I had the impression that certain types of CIIs were called UCITS under EU regulations. So a UCITS is a CII but certain types of CIIs were not necessarily UCITS.

agree  Charles Davis: So if I've understood correctly, it should be non-UCITS CIIs rather than IICs in English.

agree  John Rynne: Right. CIIs that do not quality as UCITS under the UCITS Directive, as I understand it
