Son latas para mandarinas en gajos. Apparently the A10 tins are very popular but I cannot fin anything related to A8.5 and I want to double check it. The tin size exists in Spanish.

Una lata de cerveza = a can of beer. Cans are made of tin.
FWIW, In Australia, cans of beers are known as "tinnies"

neutral  philgoddard: I'm not sure, this may be an acceptable answer, but cans aren't actually made of tin.

  -> I know, but hojalata = tin... just in case they want to keep it in :)

agree  MollyRose: metal container (unless you can verify that it's really tin). But then again, cans are already made of some kind of metal, so to avoid redundancy, just say A 8.5 1-gallon can./I know, that's why I said "unless you can verify they Really mean tin."

  -> Makes sense, but sometimes it's compulsory to state what the material containers/packaging are made of in the "ficha técnica"....
