documented and sensitive memory

You'll need to work a bit on this one. My literal suggestion "documented and sensitive memory" doesn't actually sound so good to me. They mean that they memory of the holocaust is documented/recorded for posterity, and "sensitive" refers to the emotional aspect. To combine them nicely will take a bit more effort IMO ...

Maybe make the sentence a bit longer to comfortably express the 2 ideas in English :)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Very difficult to award the points here as all the answers were very similar. In the end I used a combination 'disseminate the documented record and emotional memory...'"

textual/documented and emotional recollection

Another option perhaps which could be something like this:

"....spread the textual/documented and emotional recollection of such tragic events/occurrences/happenings."

a sensitive documentary report.

disagree Yvette Neisser Moreno : In this case, it's not referring to a documentary or report--Yad Vashem is a museum, and the sentence is talking about the museum's overall mission.

to (spread)...the memory of those tragic events in a factually documented, emotionally sensitive way

Just brainstorming here--like neilmac, I don't actually like my suggested wording that much, but I think it might be useful to consider rewriting the sentence along these lines. I'll keep thinking about it and let you know if I come up with something better.

At the same time, I think we're trying to recreate the wheel here--Yad Vashem already has an extensive website in English, and I think someone has probably already carefully worded what we're trying to say. I took a quick glance and didn't find an appropriate phrase, but if I were you, I'd spend a few minutes looking through it to see if you can answer your own question there.

a documented, sensitive record

this is the "record" preserved in a nuseum, of events. "Memory, report or recollection" do not seem to me to fit the idiom or meaning of the sentence
