Spanish term

parangonarse

Spanish to English Social Sciences History
From a Spanish author. Could someone verify that this means "he liked to compare himself to Augustus Caesar"? Thx!

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "George, thank you very much! I'd looked up parangonarse in the DRAE - with no results - and it didn't occur to me to try just parangonar (that's a lesson not to forget!). Again, thanks for your help!!"

Imitate, copy, follow, mimic

Patricia,

Otra opción sería “imitar” , he was trying to “copy” him, to be like him, to mimic or to follow him.
