Without wishing to labour the point, I think any of the three options so far proposed could be viable, depending on the circumstances: A co-operation agreement implies to me that the parties intend to offer each other mutual assistance not tied to a specific project. A collaboration agreement would suggest that they envisage joint production of a piece of intellectual property: a research project, a publication, or something similar. A partnership agreement would be the right term, I think, for joint commercial exploitation of a discovery or invention. Given the preamble that Micaela has just posted as I write, I think it's probably a partnership. It clearly has a commercial aspect. If, for example, the laboratory is going to produce something and the company market it, I think you'd call it a partnership. I don't know what others think. |
