Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / Merger agreement
Spanish term or phrase: Los diarios
From a agreement to proceed with a merger by absorption (Spain)...

NO EXISTE a la hora y fecha de apertura de los Diarios en el Registro, asientos de presentación vigentes en el de presentación de documentos.

So, as I understand it, at the time and on the date that the de "Diarios opened" in the (Companies) Registry there were no subsisting entries affecting presentation of documents.

I'm guessing that "diarios" here would be translated as (official) gazette or journal, but my question is whether I can translate "apertura" here as "published" - "On the date that the official gazette was published by the Companies Registry...", in the sense of an announce being published on the BORME (Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil)

Yes, I know that "asientos" are entries, but with a bit of tweaking you can merge the two instances into one IMHO.

NB: "Diario" suggests "daily entries". "
FWIW, I also agree that "apertura" refers to publishing the entries.
