Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / Intellectual Property Rights Transfer Agreement
Spanish term or phrase: médico autor
From an Intellectual Property Rights Transfer Agreement between a medical doctor who does clinical trials and a pharmaceutical company that develops innovative medicines.

This is about a doctor that is tasked with writing up a clinical case and the pharmaceutical company compensating that doctor for writing the document and subsequently being transferred the intellectual property rights of the work.
I'm thinking that just using "Author" is fine in this case as I don't know that there is a specific term to say that the author is also a doctor. Also because it's obvious from the contract that he is a doctor because his profession is described clearly in the recitals.

If anybody knows of a specific term that covers this or has an idea that is creative and works for this, I'm up for suggestions. Or if someone wants to confirm that "Author" in this case is just the best answer, please propose that answer as I would like confirmation.
