Discussion

Marylen (asker) Feb 16, 2010:
Misinterpretation. I think I didn'r make myself clear. This is an answer to a complaint. The plaintiffs have quit their jobs, so my phrase means : when the plaintiffs stopped working for my client (written by the defendant's attorney). I'm just looking for a more elegant way to put it.

agree Richard Boulter : This appears to refer to the 2nd party in a court case having renounced (waived) his right to notification from the 1st party of new developments in the case. The suggested translation is just right for this purpose, in U.S. legalese.
