Spanish term or phrase: APOYOS Y SALVAGUARDAS
'Acaban de efectuarse numerosos e importantes cambios al Código Civil. Todo ello con la finalidad de reemplazar la tradicional "curatela" de las personas con discapacidad por una nueva institución, conocida como "apoyos y salvaguardas". De esta manera, se busca que esta medida promueva la inclusión de dichas personas y garantice el derecho al ejercicio de su capacidad jurídica en condiciones de igualdad'.

¿será "supports and safeguards"?

Carers and guardians o Caregiving and Guardianship
Explanation:
Mis sugerencias.
Un 'caregiver' ('Carer' como se usa en Australia) es una persona que asiste a un menor o a un adulto en varias maneras - desde la asistencia personal a asistencia con los quehaceres diarios. 'Guardian' podría remplazar el 'Tutor' (tutelador), persona que representa a un incapacitado. Han ocurrido cambios ultimamamente en esos sectores, en Australia

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you - actually it seems that the "apoyo" is a person - so I used the plural- the Peruvian Civil Code defines it: LOS APOYOS PUEDEN RECAER EN UNA PERSONA NATURAL O PERSONA HUMANA.======= EN EL SEGUNDO PÁRRAFO DEL PRECITADO ARTÍCULO 659 – B SE ESTABLECE QUE LA PERSONA MAYOR DE EDAD, PUEDE INVESTIR AL APOYO DE FACULTADES DE REPRESENTACIÓN.===

Tutors and safeguards

Explanation:
En áreas como la educación especial se usa con frecuencia el término tutors para referirse al personal que ofrece apoyo académico en dichas instituciones.

Example sentence(s):
  • Children with learning difficulties go to tutoring centers.
  • We understand how to work with students who learn differently. Our tutors use research based programs that target the child\'s academic needs.
