You could also put "between X on the one hand, and Y on the other" if you want to be more literal.

Ugly as it may seem, this is actually used in English contracts, so you'd say something like:
This contract is agreed between
X (name, address, etc.)
of the one part
and
Y (name, address, etc.)
of the other part.
This contract is agreed between

of the other part.
