Spanish term or phrase: responsabilidad patrimonial

Estuve viendo todas las apariciones de la palabra patrimonial en el glosario y es llamativo como tiene mil posibilidades de traducción.
Yo misma consulté en mayo y obtuve una respuesta que me pareció la apropiada. Ahora estoy traduciendo un Contrato Marco y digo que "el Banco XX limitará su responsabilidad patrimonial". Tengo un par de ex-pats americanos que juran que patrimonial iría pero NUNCA en las consultas de esta palabra en el glosario aparece esta opción.
Alguna sugerencia?

"patrimonial responsibility" seems to be a direct translation (faux ami?) from the Spanish. I made a google search and all I got were Spanish, Italian, Romanian (and some Greek) Web sites. So it seems like it's a 'Romance' concept.

The word 'patrimony' in English is used primarily in terms of inheritance (bienes heredados) or metaphorically (e.g., 'we should preserve our country's patrimony').

I've never heard it used in a legal sense (except perhaps in a financial text, as in 'patrinominal fund' or 'patrimonial reserve').

I would translate "el Banco XX limitará su responsabilidad patrimonial" to:

"XXX bank shall limit its property liability to..."

(ps: meaning it shall be liable only to a certain amount of its property)

(pps: one could even elimitate 'property' altogether since a bank can be liable only within the scope of its property)

appreciate comments from legal experts...

Marcus tiene razón, pero ya que "asset" es el opuesto de "liability", suena un poco raro. Sin embargo, el patrimonio de una empresa principalmente son sus bienes de equipo (capital assets).
