"proof of residence"


Explanation:
or "proof of legal residence" would be the proper corresponding English phrase in such a document. (This is one of those cases where literalness is not synonymous with accuracy...) Incidentally, "vecindad" is the proper spelling of the word in Spanish. Where there's one typo, there are probably more, and they can pose problems. A word to the wise... Hope this helps!

Explanation:
This document is the equivalent to the ID of the USA, (I supposed this document comes from a Central American country)It looks like a booklet that contains the date and place of birth, parents´ names and is a proof that a person was born and is citizen of the country in which it was issued. I would translate it as an Identification Booklet.
