I think that 'lipid service' is also an adequate and correct translation in this context if you want to stay close to your source ... but if you want something that is used more frequently, you can try 'Lipid Clinic'. I get 43,500 google hits for "lipid clinic" + hospital + cholesterol. The words 'clinic' or 'service' indicate that treatment is going on, whereas 'research' doesn't necessarily imply this.
