Spanish term or phrase: MCP dilatada IN
Hi all,

Same elderly patient in the coronary care unit. After mentioning the patient has anterior STEMI K-K II treated with a stent implant, the cardiologist's report says:

"Portadora de MCP dilatada IN con deterioro severo de la fey [ejection fraction]."

MCP dilatada = dilated cardiomyopathy, but what about "IN"? Any pointers?

neutral  Charles Davis: Perhaps "dilated" is unnecessary, but shouldn't the necrosis be mentioned? There could be ischemic DCM without necrosis, couldn't there?

-> Necrotic means ischemic etiology due to coronary artery disease. Both necrosis and ischemia can lead to ischemic cardiomyopathy
