G__P__A__C__V__
Explanation:
I'm sure of the first 3:
G__P__A_
Gravida/para/abortus
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravida/para/abortus

And I think C__V__ is:
partos por cesárea_ vaginal_

So, it would all be the same in English :)

Thanks to fvasconcellos, I'm finally going for V= vivo:

Embarazos Partos Abortos Césarea Vivo
http://www.uelbosque.edu.co/files/Archivos/Validacion_de_Con...

And as Charles points out, that would be G__P__A__C__L__ in English.

agree  Filippe Vasconcellos de Freitas Guimarães: Actually, "V" stands for "vivos", but everything else is spot on! This mixes up the GPA and TPAL systems—what a mess! I wonder where the ST is from. //You're right, that would certainly make more sense.

  -> Thanks fvasconcellos. I agree about the TPAL mix-up, but caesarians and live births as the last 2 doesn't make sense to me. That's why I thought of vaginal deliveries.

agree  Beth Farkas: you're correct about V standing for "vaginal".

  -> Thanks Beth, please see my last note :)

agree  Charles Davis: Excuse me for joining in -- I'm listening and learning here -- but if the V is vivos, it would be L for live births (like the L of TPAL), wouldn't it? So if C is caesarean it ends up as G_P_A_C_L... // Sorry, as you were; you posted while I was writing!

  -> Thanks Charles. Yes, V now = L :)
