Fine and thanks again, it was simply curiosity on my part too. Lol. It seems the people I am doing this for are rather "tikis mikis" and I don´t want to put my foot in it. I shall leave it as was in that case. Thanks again :o)

I agree with Lorena, to stick by the original as there may be certain parties who are not blind, but the patients and evaluators definitively are. Sorry if my doubt re "double-blind" has led to more uncertainty, but like I say, it was out of curiosity. Perhaps Emma can shed some light.

I don't know what Rich thinks, but I would be true to the text because the evaluator and researcher may be different parties and the researcher may not be "blind"

Should I change the term to double-blind then Rich and Lorena? I have seen it a few times on google.

It seems to make sense that the researchers may not blind but the evaluators are blind so as not to cause any bias

evaluator vs. researcher. For what I know double-blind is when the patient and researcher are unaware of which group is taking what

how does a "patient-blinded and evaluator-blinded" study differ from a double-blind study? Are there other scenarios where the patients and evaluators are blind, but the principal investigator and/or sponsor or other parties know who is in the control group?
