This is the first time I have come across this word used in surgical operations.

I just wanted to check that this means "tourniquet ischaemia".

Here is the context:

Bajo anestesia general, profilaxis antibiotica con cefazolina, con isquemia en pantorrilla [calf], decubito supino. Se procede a incision medial a maleolo interno, reducción de maleolo interno y fijación con 2 tornillos de 3.5 mm de 35 mm de longitud.
Se retira isquemia. Lavado exhaustivo. Cierre de piel grapas.
Vendaje blando.
