Hematologic laboratoy panel / Automated hematologic [laboratoy] panel

JM,
In general, "laboratory panel" means "automated": standard tests are requested and run together by a lab machine.

Indeed if you wanted to order, say, only 3 of the 10-12 tests included in a panel, you wouldn't be able to do it, because the machine provides all the other results anyway (which in turn generates the need to bill for them).
