Severe hemorrhage from rupture of a / the lower saphenous-femoral communicant vein Explanation: At least in the US, "important" is almost never used to characterize an hemorrhage. Used adjectives are mild, moderate, and severe (...and fatal). The word for "comunicante" is "communicant".
