Which of these alternatives is correct?

Well, first, let me say that I was incorrect to agree with Jane, for "chiropody" (the treatment of the feet) is not the translation for "quiropráctica" (that of the extremities and especially utilizing the spinal column, and the treatment thereof).
You have that one wrong Jane, and I apologise for having agreed and misleading any others.
back to my original question...

Truth is that, according to our dictionnaries, we would be correct with any of the combinations of chiropractor/chiropractitioner (n.) with chiropractic/chiropractice (n.)

Do the maths .. or rather the linguistics yourself, however:
Dr. Palmer (appropriate name, methinks!)
"took the Greek words for "hand" (cheiros) and "done by" (praktos)"
... [and created the word "chiropractor"].

It is explained that "chiropractic healing" began thereafter.

Now, taking these elements into consideration, what are we to believe is the noun? and now, tell me which one the adjective is...

Having problems due to the number of results you found in Google?, or because of the dictionnary you are looking at doesn't agree with your logic or linguistic reasoning?

Chiropractic Institution, chiropractic club, chiropractic association, chiropractic healing, chiropractic treatment ... yet: the practice of chiropractic..?
Surely chiropractice is the noun? ..isn't it?

And that's not all - because of this confusion, we have "quiropráctica" being used as both adjective and noun, while the lesser used quiropraxia, is the one that can only be used as a noun.
