Explanation: November 1 celebration of All Souls' Day in Central and Latin America is translated back into English, the literal Spanish phrase -- "Day of the Dead" -- is customarily used. And did you know that "Halloween" is derived from "All Hallows' Eve" -- that is, the "eve of All Hallows' (All Saints') Day"? |
