pantacle
Explanation:
I did a quick Google search, and came up with two unassociated sites in Italian that both used "Pantaclo," clearly with the meaning of "five-pointed figure." The first of the two sites used it multiple times, so there can be no question that it was a typo:

And I get 401 hits for "pantacle" in English. Here are a few samples:

The pantacle is representative of earth and is stationed in the east. The spelling of the word pantacle is unfamiliar to many and has the meaning of "talisman" or "amulet." We in the Lycian Tradition use
this word instead of "pentacle" because we do not necessarily have a pentagram on our paten. What we do have is our tradition symbolized by those things that make us unique from other traditions, that is our specific Wheel and Four Kingdoms.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond. I found several images of the "pantaclo" in the text and it's definitely NOT a five-pointed star, but rather a grid figure (a number of small squares) carved in stone. These references were helpful because they suggest the use of "talisman"...I think that for clarity's sake I'm going to translate it as "talisman" or "magical symbol" rather than "pantacle", but thanks for the help!

five pointer star

Explanation:
Hello. Typo most likely. You may actually mean "pentaclo" (5 pointer star).
". So I think those space travelers are arranged like a 5 pointer star...close encounters in the Inca dimension?? Good luck with it, cheers :-)

pentáculo = pentacle

Explanation:
Sure there's no typo?
This is not the five-pointed star, really, but the form inside it, composed of 5 angles of 72º each. The pentacle is geometric figure that appears as early as Ancient Egypt (Old Empire) as the result of the division of a circle into 5 equal parts. (Old astronomical enigma). The Greeks incorporate the pentacle into the equation for the golden mean (square root of five-one-quare root of five). Cf. Hambidge, Ghyka. The solution was lost in the Middle Ages, but appears to have been rediscovered by Luco Paccioli.

    The subject formed part of my PhD thesis.
