Is this "drag fishing" or soemthing like that. Goofle gave me hundreds of references to it in Spanish with some great descriptions in Spanish... But I don't know the name in English.

Any fisherpersons out there?

fishing line for streaming / currican fishing / lurefishing?
Explanation:
Bon dia. Capelao got one right (no double 'n' at the end) but there is also an English version of it: "fishing line for streaming". Link 1: "GOCUBA.COM - VIP Travel Agency ( Deap Sea Fishing ) Fishing area: 1 - 5 miles off the coast. Fishing techniques: Currican (4 fishing sticks at the same time). Type of ship: Fishing yachts over 31 feet ... " Link 2: "The fourties: Fishing in Moraira
... Fishing Line For streaming ("Currican"). This utilises a main line of 20 metres of twisted cotton to which they would tie a wire with 2 or 3 no.5 hooks." Quite greedy. However, this link (a Fishing dictionary)says "currican = lure", that is: lurefishing, http://www.bassfishingmexico.com/pages/spanish.htm
Don't know how much we can trust this link. You'll find heaps of links in Google under "lure fishing" if you want to make sure. Salut :-)

Thanks Paul - I'll go for yours with his in brackets - pity I can't split the points... Henry will have to see about that one of these days.
