Spanish term or phrase: Administrador del timbre
Hello,

This term appears in Rulfo's El día del derrumbe, link here. http://www.literatura.us/rulfo/derrumbe.html

If you search for it there, you can see fuller context, which isn't actually much help.

In googling it, I came across this site which provides instructions for Adminstradores del timbre.
https://developers.sw.com.mx/knowledge-base/guia-para-el-adm...

I've seen it translated as tax inspector. Is that correct? Or is it something like an accountant? And is it a specifically Mexican thing?

Thanks for your help.

Notes to answerer
