The context is a boilermaking plant showing off its work. The term "morsa" (sea horse??) appears in the following photo caption: "Morsa para entubado y desentubado de perforaciones verticales..." Is this oil drilling equipment? Are we talking about inserting and extracting pipeline from an oil drilling site?

If it is oil drilling, and it seems to be, the clamp used to extract or hold drill pipe is called "tongs", even though they are usually hydraulically operated. Thanks for a fast and complete response. The faxed photograph, which has lost detail in the fax transmission, looks like a gigantic drill chuck. I'm fairly convinced it's for holding a drill bit to use in oil prospection.
