English translation:another possiblity
Explanation:
Mr. Anderson, I have done some further searching and since I see that this is software related, and it says Usuario ROI, this could also mean a computer program called ROI. I performed a search in Yahoo! for "ROI" and found several corporations, some return on investment, others providing marketing or e-commerce solutions.

ROI can also mean, in computer terms, read-only input, a keyboard or a scanner for example.

If your software is purely financial related, rendimiento de la inversión is fine, but if it is an e-commerce solution or other, more context would be helpful.

Good luck!

Thanks! You noticed that my phrase occurs in a tech context. It IS dealing with software and a scanner,
so your definition fits beautifully. I'll let the reviewer correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks again.

Return on Investment (acronym)

Explanation:
Retorno de la inversión. Financial texts in Spanish usually leave the acronym in English.

return on investment

Explanation:
In technical / financial material, it is common practice for the acronym to be left in the native language. I would therefore assume that here the acronym is an English one for return on investment.

ROI (rendimiento de la inversión)...

Explanation:
I would place the acronym in English and follow it up with the Spanish translation as noted above. Retorno would not be used in a Mexican context for example, whereas "rendimiento" has a more generic ring.

Good luck!
